Pope Alexander I

Alexander I was Pope from about 106 to 115. The Vatican's "Annuario Pontificio" (2003) identifies him as a Roman who reigned from 108 or 109 to 116 or 119. Many have identified him as a martyr, but there appears to be no historical evidence supporting such a conclusion.
