Province of Aquila
Aquila (It. Provincia dell'Aquila) is a province in the Abruzzo region of Italy. Its capital is the city of L'Aquila.
It has an area of 5,034 kmē, and a total population of 297,424 (2001). Notable comuni include Avezzano, Celano, Roccaraso, and Sulmona; there are 108 comuni in all (source: Italian institute of statistics (Istat), see this link).
