Queen Apailana, in the fictional Star Wars universe, is the successor to Queen Jamillia. It is presumed that Jamillia was only Queen for one four-year term, and was then replaced by Apailana. Apailana appears briefly in Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith as she attends the funeral of the former Queen of Naboo, Padmé Amidala. Apailana is believed to have been murdered by a Naboo Gang after refusing to let them take over the government, after which time she became scared and did as King Veruna did: went into hiding. On Apailana's 17th birthday she was captured by the gang, who vowed to be off-world, a gang known for mining around the star systems and had engulfed many planets before hand. Queen Apailana was captured and then murdered in a small house near the edge of Theeda few months later, after politics ran smoothly her body was discoverd, only because of the Royal crest she wore on her head. It is also told that Apailana renewed Senator Amidala as Senator when she took the throne from Queen Jamillia.

Queen Apailana is played by Keisha Castle-Hughes, a young Oscar nominated actress from New Zealand. Castle-Hughes was thirteen years old when she portrayed Apailana.
