Riau is a province of Indonesia, located in the center of Sumatra island.
Riau is rich with natural resources, such as:
- oil and natural gas
- rubber
- palm oil
- fishes
- woods
Riau has many natural forests and one of them is conserved by the WWF at a small town called Rengat.
The capital city is Pekanbaru.
The Riau Islands were part of the Riau province until 2004.
