Riau Islands

The Riau Islands (Kepulauan Riau (Kepri for short) or sometimes Riau Kepulauan in Bahasa Indonesia) are a province and a group of islands in Indonesia, located south of Singapore, off the eastern coast of Riau province on Sumatra island. They were split off as a separate province in July 2004.

By size and population the most important Riau islands/archipelago are Bintan, Batam, Karimun, Anambas and Natuna. The language is 'melayu', Indonesian basic language, the 'melayu' language known as the most simple and non level hierarchy language ever in Indonesia. Indonesia language was taken from 'melayu' language, and being perfected after 1980.
