Royal Society of Medicine
The Royal Society of Medicine (RSM) was founded on 1805-05-22 to bring together branches of the medical profession. At the same time a library was set up. The headquarters of the RSM is at 1 Wimpole Steet, London.
The original name of the Society was The Medical and Chirurgical Society of London. As of 2005, the President of the Society is Sir John Lilleyman DSc FRCPath FRCP(Ed) FRCP FRCPCH; its executive director is Anne Grocock.
