Ruszard Kapuściński

Ryszard Kapuściński (born March 4 1932 in Pińsk) is one of the most famous Polish journalists and writers.

He worked for many years as a foreign correspondent of the Polish Press Agency in Africa, and is perhaps best known for his book on that continent, The Shadow of the Sun (1998).
