Star Wars MUSH
Star Wars MUSH is a MUSH running on PennMUSH, running version 1.7.7 patchlevel 38 as of February 5, 2005. Star Wars MUSH is the first Star Wars-based MUSH. It is also the most successful of the Star Wars breed of MUSHes, approaching its fifteenth year in May. It is of the roleplay variety of MUShes, set in the Star Wars universe and is now thirteen years after the Battle of Yavin.
To connect to the MUSH a MUSH Client is required. The host address is www.starwarsmush.com, port 4201.
Game History
Star Wars MUSH began in May of 1991. On April 15th, 1994, the "Big Crash" occurred, where the game's database was accidentally destroyed. What resulted was the "Split," where Star Wars MUSH was divided into three games; Star Wars MUSH remained as it was, and two other Star Wars MUSHes formed : A New Threat (later known as From the Ashes) and Minos Cluster (later known as Unsung Heroes). They are commonly referring to as SW1 (Star Wars MUSH), SW2 (A New Threat), and SW3 (Minos Cluster), and SW1 is the sole surviving game of the three.
Star Wars MUSH was re-opened to the public on May 21st, 1994. On August 21st, 1996, the players of the game voted to a new server with a clean database, effectively starting over. The game is still continuing from that point.
