Subspace

In mathematics, if a set with certain properties is called a space, then a subset of which with same properties is usually called a subspace. Those with entries in Wikipedia are:
- Linear subspaces (also called vector subspaces) in linear algebra;
- Topological subspaces in topology.

There is a fictional notion of subspace used in science fiction; see Hyperspace (science fiction).

Subspace is below-normal space. In subspace, laws such as size or weight of an object don't exist while the object is still real and still exists in the real physical realm.

Subspace is different from hyperspace. Hyperspace is a higher plane that has infinite space and where normal rules do not apply
