Suede-head

Suedehead (youth culture) ivolved from the Skinhead movement during the mid-70s. As opposed to skinheads, suedeheads favored hair a little longer and also combed out a bit. They also evolved further in the direction of losing the working-class style that dominated the original skinheads. Boots were rare, as brogues were favored and Tonic Suits became extremely in. The style of music was slightly different among the group (see Trojan Suedehead Box Set), slower, more soulful reggae became popular, as well as a more dub feel for the dancehalls.
