The End of the Affair

The End of the Affair is a novel by Graham Greene, first published in 1951. Set in London during and just after World War II it examines the obsessions, jealousy and discernments within the relationship between the novelist Maurice Bendrix, the civil servant Henry Miles and his wife Sarah.

In 1999, Greene's novel was made into a movie by the irish director Neil Jordan, starring Julianne Moore (as Sarah Miles), Ralph Fiennes (as Maurice Bendrix) and Stephen Rea (as Henry Miles).
