The Weight of Water
The Weight of Water was a 2000 film, directed by Kathryn Bigelow and based upon a popular novel by Anita Shreve. It starred Sean Penn, Catherine McCormack, Elizabeth Hurley and Sarah Polley. The movie intercuts between two parallel storylines, one set in the present day and one concerning Norwegian immigrants in late 19th century America.
