For women, the standard competition uniform is a long sleeved spandex leotard, usually in the team's colors. Practice and warm up leotards (if had) are sleeveless. They look like tank tops. Additionally, each team has their own set of warm-ups. Typically, these are a zip up jacket with the team name on the back, and the gymnast's name on the left breast. The pants correspond to the jacket.

The men have slightly different apperal. For floor and vault, their attire consists of a sleeveless leotard and short shorts(they look like running shorts). Like the ladies, their colors correspond to the team's colors. For parallel bars, rings, high bar, and pommel horse, the men replace the shorts with special socks and pants with straps under their feet to keep them from sliding up. Plus, when not competing in an event, the male gymnasts wear warm-ups, just like the women.
