The University of Aalborg (Danish: Aalborg Universitet) is a university in Aalborg, Denmark. It was Denmark's fifth university, when it was opened in 1974.

In 1995 Aalborg Universitet merged with Ingeniørhøjskolen Esbjerg, now known as Aalborg Universitet Esbjerg.
