University of Applied Arts Vienna
The University of Applied Arts Vienna (German Universität für angewandte Kunst, or informally just Die Angewandte) is an institution of higher education in Vienna, the capital of Austria. It was founded in 1867 and has university status since 1970.
The university has currently c. 1100-1300 students and c. 340 faculty. Famous artists such as Gustav Klimt or Oskar Kokoschka are associated with the university's past. Also today, its faculty includes many distinguished artists and teachers, such as Christian Ludwig Attersee, Adolf Frohner, or Zaha Hadid.
