University of Wisconsin-Green Bay

The University of Wisconsin-Green Bay (known to students simply as "GB") is a public university located in Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA. It is part of the University of Wisconsin System of schools.

The school was established in 1968 and originally had an environmental emphasis, but now offers a wide array of degrees. It is peculiar because it does not have a university football team, even though the city hosts the Green Bay Packers.

The university's mascot is the Phoenix.

Students

In 2004 there were 5,657 students enrolled, 5,349 of whom were undergraduates. 35% were men and 65% women. White non-Hispanics made up 93% of the population, African Americans 1%, American Indians 2%, Asians 2% and Hispanics 1%. [1]
