VHSIC

A VHSIC is a Very-High-Speed Integrated Circuit, a type of digital logic circuit. The abbreviation was coined by the US Department of Defense in the 1980s, in a project that led to the development of the VHDL language.

The terms VLSI (Very-Large-Scale Integration) and ASIC (Application-Specific Integrated Circuit) are more commonly used.
