Vichy

Vichy is a spa and resort town in central France, near Clermont-Ferrand and was the capital of Vichy France from 1940 to 1944. It is a commune and a sous-préfecture of the Allier département. Population (1999): 78,000.

Vichy shower

Vichy is also a kind of shower in which large quantities of warm water are delivered to a spa patron, sometimes with a Scott's firehose (a firehose that delivers alternating bursts of hot and cold water).
