Weeds (television)
Weeds is a Showtime comedy television series, which will air from August 10, 2005.
The show is about Nancy Botwin (Mary-Louise Parker) whose husband dies and, to make money, she finds herself dealing cannabis.
At the same time, however, she must maintain her standing in the community - particularly when her teenage daughter starts dating the young son (Justin Chatwin) of an upstanding PTA mother, Celia Hodges (Elizabeth Perkins).
The series also stars Justin Kirk (Parker's co-star in Angels in America) and Kevin Nealon.
The first season will be 10 episodes long.
Jenji Kohan created the show while Brian Dannelly is a producer, and directed the pilot.
