Weeeeee! (Gonads and Strife)
Weeeeee! (Gonads and Strife) is a comic song and Macromedia Flash animation which first appeared on the Net sometime in 2001.
It is composed and sung by Threebrain of Redondo Beach, California. The song plays back at a faster rate than it was recorded, raising the tempo and pitch of the singer's voice to that of a cartoon character, much the same way Ross Bagdasarian did for Alvin and The Chipmunks. The Flash animation features a dancing squirrel throughout, implying that the squirrel is singing the song.
"Weeee!" has rapid, ad-libbed lyrics such as: Yo, I was watching a movie theater and this guy, he was like, "Oh, I got popcorn" and I was like, "Oh my God... Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!" and in certain sections seems to condone recreational drug use. The lyrics of the song are highlighted with appropriate imagery in the Flash cartoon, such as medical diagrams of the testicles and a nuclear explosion to represent "Gonads and Strife."
