William H. Donaldson

William H. Donaldson is currently chairman of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). Donaldson attended both Yale and Harvard University. Donaldson returned to Yale and founded the School of Management where he served as Dean and Professor of Management Studies. He also served in the United States Marine Corps.

Donaldson served as Under Secretary of State in the Nixon Administration and as a special adviser to Vice President Nelson Rockefeller.

Donaldson also served as Chairman and CEO of the New York Stock Exchange and Chairman, President and CEO of Aetna.

On June 1, 2005, he announced he would step down as SEC chairman on June 30.
