Yottametre

A yottametre (American spelling: yottameter, symbol: Ym) is a unit of length equal to 10²⁴ metres.

Yottametres could be used for measuring intergalactic distances, but astronomers have been long accustomed to use light-years and parsecs instead.

• 1 Ym is equal to 105700000 light-years or 32408000 parsecs
• diameter of the Local Supercluster is 2 Ym
• distance to the farthest quasars is 100 Ym
• distance to the cosmic light horizon is 130 Ym
